These three Brown Pelicans in their colorful breeding plumage were sitting on the rocky cliffs basking in the morning sunlight. They were fun to watch as they went about their preening.

I originally jokingly dubbed them Mo, Larry & Curly, as in the three stooges. I also thought of Manny, Mo and Jack from the Pep Boy commercials here in Southern California. Then, I realized I had to call the photograph, Three Amigos, Spanglish for three friends (tres amigos). Although it is most likely a family grouping, I visualized them as friends. They seemed to radiate a comfortable warmth and togetherness.

Hello! Nature speaks to my soul, making me feel alive and connected at the same time. My hope is for others to experience a similar connection through my photographs.
